The US AR33 Assault Rifle, more commonly referred to as the AR33, is an all-round winner, providing great damage, excellent accuracy, and a powerful scope, allowing its owner to engage enemies at all but the longest ranges with confidence. Watch your ammunition though, because the AR33 will seduce you into spending it by the crate.

In the original game the AR33 could be found in the following singleplayer missions:

• Jungle
• Caverns - dual wieldable
• Cradle
• Aztec - dual wieldable

• In Caverns, dual AR33's can be found in a special crate near the communications room. The crate contains another, smaller crate which contains an even smaller crate. This crate contains two monitors and destroying each of these monitors will give you an AR33.
• Trevelyan is equipped with an AR33 in Cradle.
• Jaws has dual AR33's in Aztec. You can pick them up after you defeat him.
