MWGG is inspired by the Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). It features a very dynamic and fast paced game play architecture that is also deep with strategy and skill.
The basic idea behind MWGG is that there is an all-powerful weapon, the Golden Gun, that can kill in 1 shot. However, possession of this weapon limits the holder's ability to replenish your armor, and it only holds one bullet per clip, and therefore, needs to be reloaded after every shot. Exquisite marksmanship and control are required to really excel at this gameplay. A successful Golden Gun holder can post 20 kills extremely easily in one possession!
The radar displays the Golden Gun icon that is visible at all times when the it is not held by a player. A small arrow next to the Golden Gun indicates whether it is above or below you. When you are close to the Golden Gun it will also begin to glow gold so that you can see it easily. This glow effect is even visible through walls!
When a player picks up the GG they become a gold dot on the radar for all to see.
Players earn points by killing other players. There is no special scoring if you have the Golden Gun except that you get one hit kills.
Teamplay is disabled for MWGG. However, the nature of this gameplay naturally leads to the formation of “virtual” teams to gang up on the golden gun holder. This is a limited engagement, and often only results if the holder is doing extremely well.
